Get to know Wesley Lollis
Wesley Lollis has been involved in public education since 1998, dedicating his career to developing and strengthening band programs across Mississippi. Throughout his career, he has served as band director at West Lauderdale, Philadelphia Public Schools, Newton Public Schools, and Northeast Lauderdale. During his tenure at these schools, the band programs under his direction consistently maintained or improved their performance ratings at numerous music festivals throughout the state.
Mr. Lollis earned his Bachelor of Music Education degree from Delta State University and completed graduate studies through the American Band College at Southern Oregon University. His commitment to musical excellence and education has guided his work with students at every stage of musical development.
In addition to his work as an educator, Mr. Lollis is an active performer. He has performed with the Gulf Coast Winds, the Hattiesburg City Band, and the Meridian Community Band. Over the course of his career, he has been responsible for building and directing band programs from the beginner level through high school, helping students develop both musical skill and a lifelong appreciation for music.
