About Will

Hello, my name is Will!

I am a graduate of the illustrious Jackson State University. As a music educator, I have a passion for teaching expression and fundamentals to musicians of all levels. Students I work with learn my philosophy that guided practice creates confident production and will create a path to consistent performance. 

My performance background includes marching band, jazz band, trombone ensemble, brass quintet, concert band, and orchestra. I am also a skilled double, or upright, bass and electric bass player, experienced in jazz, gospel, and orchestral styles. I currently play with the Piedmont Community Band as a bass trombonist and am the bassist for River City Church in Landis, NC. Additionally, I actively assist several band programs in the Charlotte area. 

I teach trombone, baritone, upright bass, bass guitar, and beginner trumpet.

Outside of music, I enjoy line dancing and having karaoke nights with family. I am typically the life of the party and I'm centered around music.
