      Performance Experience: Bill has performed and recorded with Frank Sinatra, Cab Calloway, Benny Goodman and many others over the last 40 years. Locally he's with the Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra, The Full Circle Jazz Ensemble and the Roadside Attraction Big Band, as well as extensive free-lance performing in the Pacific Northwest.

      Bill Anthony is a highly accomplished trombonist and music educator with a career spanning more than four decades in the Seattle area. He graduated cum laude with a B.F.A. in Music Performance from Cornish College of the Arts and studied with the legendary jazz trombonist J.J. Johnson.
      Bill has built a long and varied performance career, sharing the stage and recording studio with some of the most iconic names in music history. He has performed with jazz and pop legends including Frank Sinatra, Cab Calloway, Benny Goodman, The Glenn Miller Orchestra, The Four Tops, The Temptations and John Denver.
      Bill has been a prominent figure in the local jazz scene since moving to the area in 1981. He holds the lead trombonist position for the Roadside Attraction Big Band and is a founding member of the Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra (SRJO). He has also been a featured performer with local ensembles such as Bochinche and the Full Circle Jazz Ensemble.
      His extensive work is captured on numerous recordings, including specific albums by the Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra such as SRJO Live and The Endless Search, as well as the Full Circle Jazz Ensemble's The Wheels Are Turning. He is also credited on the KPLU School of Jazz Volume 2 compilation, Roadside Attraction's The Suspect, and Bochinche's Pina Con Coco and Caracas.
      In addition to his performance career, Bill has been a dedicated private music instructor since at least 1991, sharing his expertise in trombone, baritone, and music theory. He has been a faculty member at institutions like Music Works Northwest and has taught at several high schools and middle schools throughout the Seattle metro area. He also teaches at Music & Arts in Issaquah, Washington. A native of San Jose, California, Bill has committed his professional life to both performing and educating in the Pacific Northwest.
