BILLY EVANS HAS GAINED EXPERIENCE AND RECOGNITION AS A PROFESSIONAL PIANIST, VOCALIST, teacher AND COMPOSER.
HE STARTED PLAYING PIANO AT THE YOUNG AGE OF TEN, IN HIS HOMETOWN OF ROSELLE, NEW JERSEY. AFTER GRADUATING FROM HIGH SCHOOL, HE MOVED TO VIRGINIA, AND ATTENDED VIRGINIA UNION UNIVERSITY, WHERE HE RECEIVED HIS BACHELORS DEGREE.
BILLY EVANS, HAS PERFORMED FOR SUCH NOTABLES AS: MAYA ANGELOU, GOVERNOR DOUGLAS WILDER, UNITED STATES CONGRESSMEN BOBBY SCOTT AND JOHN CONYERS, JR. AS WELL AS ACTOR TIM REID, NEWT GINGRICH AND RICH FAIRBANKS, CEO OF CAPITAL ONE. He also accompanied gospel singer Tramain Hawkins.
He has played solo piano at several venues in the State including: Mona Lounge, Jefferson hotel and John marshall hotel. He is also a client of Debonairee entertainment. Inc.
NO STRANGER TO THE STAGE, BILLY PERFORMED THE ROLE OF FATS WALLER, IN THE THEATER PRODUCTION OF "AIN'T MISBEHAVIN," AND PERFECTED THE ROLE OF JIMMY POWERS IN THE PRODUCTION OF "LADY DAY", WHERE HE collaborated WITH MS.CHRIS CALLOWAY, DAUGHTER OF THE FAMOUS CAB CALLOWAY.
His COMPLETED works are: Prisoner of my weakness, UNCONDITIONAL LOVE, I can feel you close and Angel of mercy. He also has a remix of Prisoner of my weakness.
Billy’s smooth jazz project,”Colorful groove” was released in October 2020.
