About William Hearn
Get to know William Hearn
Bill Hearn received Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Guitar Performance from Florida State University, and a Doctorate in Guitar Performance from the University of Arizona in Tucson. He was chosen three times as an International Semifinalist in the Guitar Foundation of America Solo competition, and worked for four years in the North Carolina Visiting Artist program.
Bill has been teaching guitar for over thirty years, and has taught guitar, ukulele, banjo, mandolin and an occasional lute student at Music and Arts since 2009. Away from Music and Arts, Bill teaches guitar and World Music at Clayton State University, and performs frequently with the Atlanta Guitar Trio.
Bill is currently putting the finishing touches on his first ukulele book: 101 Easy Ukulele Solos, planned for publication by Mel Bay later in 2021.
