About Winfred Marecheau
Get to know Winfred Marecheau
WINFRED MARECHEAU holds a bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Winston-Salem State University and a master’s degree in Music Education from Jackson State University. He has also earned a certificate in Academically Gifted Education from UNC-Charlotte. Winfred has served as a strings instructor in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, The Clark County School System of Las Vegas, Nevada and is currently a retired strings teacher of the Wake County Public Schools. His student ensembles have participated in state and regional music festivals with ratings of superior and excellent. He was also the recipient of the 2007 Raleigh-Wake National Pan-Hellenic Council of the Community Recognition Award for Cultural Arts. Winfred is a member of ASTA, and The National Association of Music Education. He continues to perform locally to foster his continued development in string education and performance. Winfred has experience teaching Violin, Viola, Cello and Double Bass.
