About Yousef Auer

Yousef A is a guitar teacher from the Washington, D.C. area that has lived in places all around the world including Egypt, the Netherlands, Canada, and here in the states. I have been playing guitar and bass for over 10 years, and I enjoy playing a wide variety of music including classic blues, funk, and 90s alternative rock, I have been a part of several bands, performed at venues, and helped organize local shows for other musicians. I fundamentally believe in teaching students to play the music that they listen to, so that when they go home, they are excited to pick up their instruments and play along to their favorite songs. As a teacher at Music and Arts, I want to inspire the next generation of musicians to fall in love with their instruments and hone their craft not only as individuals but also in group settings with other musicians.
