      Teaching Philosophy: My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that music has the power to transform lives. By nurturing talent, fostering collaboration and personal growth, and embracing diversity and inclusion, I aim to inspire lifelong love for music and empower students to become compassionate and engaged citizens of the world.

    • Get to know Zach Hamrick

      Zach Hamrick has been playing woodwind instruments for nearly 20 years, starting on saxophone and then clarinet. While at East Tennessee State University, Zach had the distinct honor of premiering works for Saxophone Choir, Wind Ensemble, and Jazz Ensemble. Zach's true passion lies in teaching however, having taught saxophone both privately and chamber for a number of years. He is a graduate of East Tennessee State University with a BA in Music Performance and is currently pursuing his MM in Music Performance at the University of Maryland.
