Nathan Bins-Castronovo has been a dedicated musician for over 12 years, starting his musical journey with the trumpet at the age of 9. Under the tutelage of renowned brass instructor Dan Barber, Nathan's skills blossomed, which led to his impressive musical career. His growth continued at Canfield High School, where he excelled in both brass performance and music theory. Nathan's talent was evident through his consistent success in the OMEA Solo and Ensemble competitions, where he received superior ratings for every solo and ensemble he participated in.
Throughout high school, Nathan was actively involved in various music groups, including Canfield's Marching Band, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, and Pep Band. His extensive involvement in these groups helped him build a broad and deep understanding of different musical forms and genres.
Currently, Nathan is studying Information Technology at Youngstown State University (YSU), but his passion for music remains strong. He is a three-time member of YSU's Marching Pride, a one-time member of the Concert Band, and a two-time member of the Pep Band. In addition to his trumpet skills, Nathan has expanded his musical repertoire by learning several other instruments, including acoustic, classical, and electric guitar, bass, and French horn.
Nathan's musical journey has been rich and diverse, blending his academic pursuits with a continued dedication to music, and he continues to evolve as a well-rounded musician.
