Alicia Guerra is a dedicated and compassionate music educator with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Appalachian State University’s Hayes School of Music. A Fayetteville native and Jack Britt High School alumna, Alicia studied piano under Dr. Rodney Reynerson and flute under Dr. Nancy Schneeloch-Bingham. She currently serves as a Band Director for Cumberland County Schools.
With over three years of teaching experience, Alicia brings both warmth and structure to her lessons. She has performed in concert bands, marching bands, and as a church pianist—giving her a wide range of real-world musical experience to share with her students. Alicia has been immersed in music her whole life and knows how to help students feel confident and comfortable, especially when performing in front of others.
Alicia’s teaching philosophy is simple but powerful: music should be joyful. While she makes learning fun, she also instills in her students the value of persistence, patience, and hard work. She believes that every student can grow with time and encouragement—and she’s committed to helping each one develop a lifelong love for music.
