Get to know Amalia Dunca
Hello! I am a violin and viola instructor. My degree is in Music Pedagogy with a Violin Focus, and I specialize in working with young children. I teach students as young as age 4, and my goal is to make learning music a joyful and inspiring experience from the very first lesson.
For young beginners, I use the Suzuki method, a gentle, proven approach that builds strong foundations through listening, repetition, and encouragement. I incorporate fun ear-training games, movement, and creativity into every lesson to keep students engaged while developing real skills. I also tailor each lesson to fit your child’s pace, personality, and learning style—whether they love classical melodies, folk tunes, or modern songs.
In addition to my teaching background, I’ve performed with orchestras in several countries, led music camps, and currently direct a youth orchestra at McKee Road Baptist Church, where I help children grow in confidence through group playing and performance.
As a fluent speaker of English, Spanish, and Romanian, I connect easily with families from different backgrounds and work to build a strong, supportive learning environment. I’d love to be part of your child’s musical journey and help them build a lifelong love for music!
