About Ben Johnson

Ben Johnson is a Seattle based performer and educator. A lifelong resident of the Pacific Northwest, he received his Bachelor of Music at Pacific Lutheran University studying horn performance under Dr. Gina Gillie in 2020, and in 2024 received his Master of Music in horn performance studying with John Turman at the University of Washington. Throughout his academic and professional career he has performed extensively both regionally and internationally, touring Portugal, Spain, and South Korea. Locally, he regularly performs with the Bellevue Symphony and Opera, the Ballard Civic Orchestra, and Orquesta Northwest. He also is a member of the Viridian Winds, an active and emerging Seattle based wind quintet. In his free time, Ben can be found cooking, baking, hiking, and birdwatching.
