I believe that music is a gift with which we are uniquely able to express ourselves. I hope to help students find and grow that voice for themselves. I will do my best to help students establish a strong base and have fun making music.

Get to know Bradley Myers
Music has always been a passion of mine, and I enjoy sharing that passion with others. I have been playing the trombone since fifth grade, and have loved learning various instruments over the years. I attended the University of Kentucky where I performed extensively with every major ensemble and various groups in the Lexington area. I am well versed in traditional, jazz, and other styles of music. I have been teaching band and music in the public schools in Brunswick County since 2021. While trombone is my primary instrument, I have always learned to teach by learning myself, and am comfortable playing and teaching a variety of instruments - whether brass, woodwinds, or guitar and bass.
I believe that music is a valuable way to express ourselves as individuals, but also love the side by side aspect of playing an instrument with others. I believe that solid fundamentals are a crucial part of all musicians’ playing and hope to help you establish a base that will serve you for lifelong playing. I will also gladly meet you where you are to grow towards any goals that you may have. Taking private lessons was a major step forward in my musicianship, and I hope to be able to help students grow in their skills as well as develop a deeper joy for music and the gift that is to be able to play an instrument.
