About Brandon Foster

Get to know Brandon Foster
Mr. Brandon Foster is a trained saxophonist with performance experience at the collegiate and professional levels. Through his Instrumental Music Education Bachelors degree program from the University of Delaware, he has also been taught and trained in methods for teaching all of the major instruments, focusing his attention in woodwinds, including clarinet, flute, bassoon, and oboe. Brandon’s saxophone performance experience ranges from soloing with the University of Delaware Wind Ensemble abroad to performing rock and funk music in casinos and lounges in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He now teaches middle school bands at Milford Central Academy, demonstrating instrumental techniques and laying a solid musical foundation for his students. Brandon is also the Pep Band director and assistant Marching Band Director for Milford Senior High School.
Brandon Foster’s teaching philosophy is built on the practical life application that instrumental music has on individuals in their formative years. He believes that all students and personality types can find a hobby or a home in instrumental music if they have the courage to dedicate time and effort to their craft. He believes individual discipline, character development, and creativity can be cultivated by carefully forming and refining woodwind playing techniques.
