Get to know Brayden Swope-Bergman
Brayden is a PNW-based musician, specializing in low brass. After beginning to play the tuba at age 10, and trombone age 11, he grew a deep passion for the arts that continues to grow to this day. Brayden earned a double major in Instrumental Music Education and Music Performance from Central Washington University where he primarily studied with David McLemore, but also Derek Fenstermacher, and briefly, Roger Bobo. During this time, he played in both the CWU Wind Ensemble and the CWU Symphony Orchestra as the principal tuba player and competed in many national and international solo competitions. Brayden is currently the principal tuba player of the Seattle Philharmonic Orchestra and lead trombone in the Edmonds Jazz and Salsa Band.
Brayden teaches tuba, euphonium, and trombone at all levels, and trumpet up to the intermediate level. He believes in making lessons a quality, meaningful, and rewarding experience that empowers students and helps them achieve their goals.
