      Education: Over 50 years of practice, performance, songwriting, musical arranging and singing.  Received piano instruction which helps me understand the relationship between piano and guitar chord voicings.
      Performance Experience: Many different cover bands, original music ensembles, jazz collectives and church music.  Composed music used in TV series mTV's The Real World".  Have performed opening act slots for John Hiatt, Mason Ruffner, Adrian Belew's group The Bears and Missing Persons.
      Teaching Experience: I have been teaching guitar and other string instruments since 2001. My lesson have included the incorporation of guitar playing in conjunction with vocalization, percussion and basic piano theory. I have mentored and guided students towards successful auditions and acceptance locally into school jazz ensembles as well as the Peninsula Youth Jazz Band in conjunction with Ferguson Center for the Arts
      Teaching Philosophy: To guide new players utilizing existing instructional curriculum while keeping an eye on their personal "wish list' of what attracted them to the guitar in the first place.  Emphasizing the importance of daily practice.
