Education: Carol Scott has a B.A. degree in Music Education from the University of Delaware, is Delaware Certified and has completed under graduate work at West Chester University.
Performance Experience: Carol has performed in piano recitals while in college. After graduation she traveled the east coast performing in a cover band for three years. She has enjoyed playing on several church worship teams, serving as choir accompanist, performing solo vocals and directing handbell choirs and playing for weddings over the years.
Teaching Experience: She has taught general music, directed band, strings, handbell choir and choral groups in four different elementary and middle schools over a twenty seven year period.
Teaching Philosophy: I believe music should be enjoyed. My goal is to inspire my students to do their best and have fun while experiencing the rewards.
Get to know Carol Scott
Carol Grandell Scott grew up in a musical home where her father and brother play guitar and bass. She enjoyed playing with them at home and professionally after college graduation. She lives in Wilmington, DE with her bass player husband. They have two children one of which sings and plays guitar and four granddaughters. She is teaching at the store as well as providing virtual lessons. A highlight of her week is teaching her six year old granddaughter.
