About Charles Tuttle

Charles Tuttle is a musician of many facets including but not limited to playing the piano, drumming, singing, composing, and arranging. In May 2021, Charles received his bachelor’s degree in jazz studies and music management from University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA. Although his background is in jazz, Charles both performs and writes in a wide variety of musical styles ranging from classical repertoire to Brazilian Choro and everything in between.

In the last few years, Charles has performed with many different ensembles including the Oakland Eastside All-star Ensemble (OEASE), the Pacific Jazz Ensemble, the Pacific Jazz Collective, and the Cabrillo College Big Band. With these groups, Charles has played an extensive list of venues, most notably The Golden Gate Bandshell in San Francisco, Catalina’s Jazz Club in Los Angeles, Yoshi’s Jazz Club in Oakland, and Take 5 Jazz Club in Stockton. Several of these ensembles have also performed Charles’ arrangements and compositions.
