Education: I was in band all through Middle School through College.
Performance Experience: I have been playing in bands since 1989. Playing currently with Texas Country artists and hosting several open mics in the Conroe area.
Teaching Experience: Teaching Percussion professionally since 1993. Teaching all styles of music.
Teaching Philosophy: It is my job to provide an education. It is your job as a student to use that education to better yourself musically and be inspired by everything.
Get to know Christopher Martinez
Born and raised in Texas, and fell in love with music at an early age when watching my dad play Tejano music while making his guitar talk. I played Trombone in middle school and learned about all brass instruments then made my way towards Percussion in Junior High School. Starting teaching in 1993 following my passion in music. It's an honor to be able to play and teach music for a living and getting to surround myself with something I love to do.
