About Chris Tauer

Teaching Philosophy: When I teach, my students start with first principles like notes, move on to chords, then scales and keys. Instead of teaching them how to play songs, I teach them WHY we play different notes and chords for certain songs. Therefore they build a concrete understanding of the fundamentals. Furthermore, I encourage my students to experiment and improvise. This way we learn to make our own compositions. As we advance, we will explore the complexities and secrets of music theory.
