Get to know David Thal
David Thal is an Austin based Musician and educator. Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, David studied trumpet at the University of Kansas, graduating with a B.A. in instrumental performance in trumpet. His career as a musician has ranged from jazz to classical to funk, namely with his band, Glass Bandit. Outside of trumpet, he gigs on guitar and piano, mostly playing his own original, more folk style music. "My teaching is centered around groove and quality of sound.
