About David Zimmerman

David became immediately hooked on guitar when he started playing at the age of 14 and has personally benefitted from private lessons at Music and Arts. In 2018 he developed the YouTube channel, David Makes Noise, where he uploads covers and original music. In 2022, David released Classified: Year One, an EP of original music, on Bandcamp. Nowadays, David is writing new music, committed to developing his own technique, and is writing several guitar books on scales, chords, and arpeggios. He enjoys playing video games, looking at guitar related gear, reading comic books of his favorite superheroes, listening to music, and watching MST3K. He has been inspired by video game music, music from the 80’s, and countless bands including Jimmy Buffett, Rush, Symphony X, Metallica, Van Halen, and is always on the lookout for new bands/artists.

David believes that it is crucial for students to learn in a fun and relaxed environment. He will help his students: develop their own sound, learn their favorite tunes, work on technique, learn how to improvise, and expand on their music theory knowledge. He specializes in rock and metal guitar.
