About Dawn B. Cwirka

When I discovered acoustic, classical and (later) flamenco guitar I knew I had found my passion!  Besides private study with James Dina and David Giardina, I have played in masterclasses with Benjamin Verdery, Xuefei Yang, Maarten Stragier, An T. Tran, Derek Gripper and more.  As Vice President on the Board of Directors for the CT Guitar Society, I have also attended many workshops by artists in various genres, including Val Ramos, Joe Carter, and Judy Handler.  I enjoy playing at a local restaurant, as well as residential homes, festivals and various events.  It is wonderful to be able to share the joy of music with students and to see them progress!
