About Donovan Walker

My name is Donovan Walker, and I’m a dual concentration major in Piano Performance and Vocal Performance at Delaware State University, where I’ll graduate with the Class of 2027. I’ve been singing in choirs since I was 11 and playing piano since I was 17, and over the years music has become not only a passion but also the way I connect with others. I love helping people discover their own creativity through music and showing that it truly is something everyone can enjoy.

At Delaware State, I work as the Music Theory Tutor for fellow music students, serve as Section Leader of the University Choir, and act as Vocal Conductor and Pianist for the Hornets on Stage club. I play both classical and jazz piano, and I believe all genres have something valuable to teach us. Whether working with beginners or more experienced students, my goal is always to make lessons comfortable, motivating, and enjoyable—because the best music happens when people are inspired. For me, music has always been a healer, and I hope to share that experience with every student I work with.
