Performance Experience: I have been performing on the piano since 2015. I have performed classical, jazz and popular music. I have performed live as a member of the UMES Jazz combo and Jazz band.

Teaching Experience: I have been teaching for nearly a decade. I began teaching voice, piano, and music theory in 2016 and have been MDSE Maryland certified since 2018. I have taught public school in Maryland, ranging from Elementary to High school as well as adult students.

Teaching Philosophy: I believe that music is a universal art form that we can all experience and excel in. Whether your interest is in piano, singing, woodwind, percussion, brass, or strings, there is a place in the world of music for any and everyone.

Get to know Dre Tingle

Hello I am Dre Tingle, music educator and musician. I am originally from Berlin, MD and am a graduate of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. I graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Vocal Music education with an additional concentration in piano. I have performed as a member of the UMES Concert Choir as well as the UMES Jazz band and Jazz combo. I have toured with these ensembles throughout the US and across various other countries including Jamaica, Guadeloupe French West Indies, Barbados, and the Virgin Islands. I have been teaching since 2016 and have been MDSE state certified in Maryland since 2018. I have taught students of varying ages from as young as 4 to adults. My number one passion is music and I absolutely love teaching it and helping others understand how it works, helping them become great musicians.
