About Emma Rainoff
Get to know Emma Rainoff
Emma Rainoff specializes in string instruments, including violin, viola, cello, bass, ukulele, mandolin, and banjo, as well as recorder. She has taught students from age 2 to 72, and her teaching philosophy centers around her belief that anyone can and should explore music, no matter their age or level of experience.
As well as teaching private lessons, Emma is the Orchestra Director for the Public Schools of Robeson County. She is certified in the O'Connor Method, part of the New American School of String Playing, and has also completed three levels of teaching certification through the American Orff-Schulwerk Association for Teacher Education.
Before teaching in North Carolina, Emma was the Director of Children's Music for Christ Lutheran Church in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. In 2015, Emma received her Bachelor of Arts from the Sunderman Conservatory of Music at Gettysburg College with concentrations in Music Education and Ethnomusicology.
