I graduated from the State Music College of Grodno in Belarus, with a degree in flute performance, flute teaching and band conducting.
After playing flute for two years with the Mozhaiski Military Academy Orchestra of St. Petersburg in Russia, I continued my music education at the State University of Arts and Culture in Minsk, Belarus.
I’m very versatile, with experience playing classical, folk, jazz, reggae, blues and rock.
I performed throughout Europe for many years with different music ensembles, bands and orchestras.
Back in Belarus, I played traditional wind instruments with the folk band Muzyki, bass guitar with the rock band Kontour, flute, sax and keys with the prog rock group Side Off, flute with the chamber ensemble Cantabile, and doubled on flute and bari-sax in a jazz orchestra.
In 1993 my family moved to Savannah, GA in the US. In 2003 I moved to Philadelphia, PA and most recently to Gaithersburg, MD, where I continue to be a part of music communities and music education.
I’ve been teaching woodwind instruments with passion since 1987. A number of my students have played in prestigious youth orchestras and participated in different competitions winning top spots and prizes, as well as pursuing higher education in music.
I’m still an active musician, playing and recording in different styles of music with groups and solo artists around Philly and the Tri-State area.
