Get to know Gene Tinkham
Hello! My name is Gene. I have been playing music since I was 11, starting with the piano before adding the guitar a year later. I graduated from George Mason University in 2014 with degrees in Guitar Performance and Music Education. Since leaving college, I have taught music within the Franklin County Public Schools as an Elementary School Music Teacher; I have also taught chorus and general music in the Whiteville City Schools.
While I play many different instruments (including Piano, Guitar, Bass Guitar, and Ocarina), my primary instrument is guitar. Outside of playing and performing music, I enjoy martial arts (I'm a 4th degree black belt in Taekwondo), computers, and spending time with my friends, partner, and family.
