About Giancarlo Trotti
Get to know Giancarlo Trotti
My experience with teaching and event planning, as well as my studies and performances in music and acting, demonstrate a valuable combination of instructional, logistical, and artistic skills. As a youth music instructor, I have successfully and patiently taught woodwind, piano, and guitar lessons to young students of varying ages—thereby exhibiting numerous techniques and approaches, ensuring that they remained focused and ready to learn, and resolving issues related to scheduling and venues. I also have robust experience with event planning, communication, and performance. During my current studies at American University (AU) and my extracurricular performance activities both in Washington, DC and in my hometown of New York City, I have collaborated with musicians in all stages of planning for and performing at events and concerts—including major year-end performances, freelance music gigs and open mic nights, New York City borough-wide parades, and regular worship services on my campus. As a tenor saxophone player from an early age, I have always demonstrated a fierce work ethic, an ability to collaborate with others, and a close attention to detail in the pursuit of an accomplished performance—and through a longstanding interest in film, I have now applied this skill set to preparing, rehearsing, and acting in short films at AU. Overall, I am a diligent, hardworking individual, and my experiences in the instruction, coordination, and logistical management of music classes, major events, performances, concerts, and films—from inception to completion—can help a creative team bring any vision to life.
