      Get to know Glenn Mariconda

      Glenn Mariconda is a member of the Mariconda family of musicians and educators.  He studied drums with CT's Harry Ashmore and later with New Orleans drummer Ed Backwell.  Glenn started performing in his father Nick's band and would later work for entertainment agencies that would bring him throughout the country.  He has done extensive theatre, show, and television work including CPTV's "News in Revue".  Glenn was a staff musician for Scandanavian World Cruises in Florida and Princess Cruises in Los Angeles.  He played with the Tony Sheldon Orchestra and the Alan Ross Orchestra and has been a sideman to numerous musicians in CT, NYC, and Boston areas.  among them his long-time friend and guitarist Al Ferrante.  His one great passion is teaching and he has been a drum teacher for many years.  He has a B.S. degree in psychology from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT
