      Education: I graduated from Cherry Creek high school in Englewood, Colorado in 1969 and attended the University of Denver for two years and took classes at the University of Maryland. Teachers: • Don Ambler, former Colorado Symphony Orchestra (CSO) Clarinetist • Anthony Gigliotti, former Principal Clarinet with the Philadelphia Orchestra • Studied music performance at the University of Denver, Metro State College • Masters Classes: Bill Jackson, Dan Silver, Anthony Gigliotti, Ronnie Rubin
      Performance Experience: I play and teach all types of clarinets, flutes, saxophones, and recorders. I play and teach baroque flute and Electric Wind Instrument (EWI) to cover double reeds or any other sound you might need. I use high quality Yamaha and Roland synthesizers for my patches.
      Teaching Experience: I have taught private music lessons to all ages and levels for forty years. I have been and am currently the Music Director at Wilder Elementary School with the Littleton Public Schools “Opening Notes” program. I taught at Rockley Music, Kolacny Music, in Home Music Teachers, and Musica for twenty years.
      Teaching Philosophy: I customize lessons to define and reach realistic goals and address students’ school band needs or other musical activities. I am an experienced professional musician well versed in woodwinds and a variety of styles. I can teach all levels from a young beginner to an adult professional. My objective is to share the enthusiasm and joy I have for music with students. I relate well to kids and will provide an atmosphere where kids are motivated to learn music and share the joy of playing.

      As a professional musician I have:

      • Performed with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra (CSO) on clarinet and saxophone

      • Performed with The Galleria Theater at The Denver Center For The Performing Arts on Clarinet, Flute, and Saxophone

      • Performed on woodwinds for the shows at the Arvada Center the last 15 years.  Performed on woodwinds at the new Lone Tree Arts Center and Parker Center for the Arts

      • Performed on Woodwinds at the Lakewood Center for the Arts

      • Performed on second clarinet with the Central City Opera

      • Performed on clarinet and bass clarinet with the Denver Municipal Band for 7 years

      • Performed on woodwinds at the Boulder Dinner Theater

      • Performed on woodwinds at the Country Dinner Playhouse for its last 10 years. Performed on woodwinds for many shows with music director Donna Debrecini including shows by PHAMALY (Physically Handicapped Actors & Musical Artists League), Magic Moments Productions, shows at the Littleton Town Hall Arts Center, Performance Now, Schwayder Theater, and Colorado Chamber Orchestra for 20 years.

      • Performed professionally many styles of music (jazz, blues, pop, ethnic, klezmer, polkas) for clubs, parties, weddings, and concerts with the Jay Wieder Dance Orchestra, Moments Notice, Rave Reviews, Ad Hoc Entertainment in big band, quartet, trio and duo settings.

      • Performed on many CD’s for such artists as Mary Stribling, Georgeann Low, Neil Haverstick, Big Junior, Scott Smith, Martha Yordy and Ben Cohen.

      • I also perform concerts and record with Combo Amazo, a band that plays original jazz, blues, bluegrass, and klezmer.

      • I lead a strolling duo on clarinet with guitar that played in the Denver International Airport Concert Series for 20 years and am available for any event.

      • Performed with The Fort Meade Army Band (1.5 years) in the Washington DC Area. Toured Europe with the 3rd Infantry Division Army Band (1.5 years).

      As a community musician I have:

      • Performed as Principal Clarinet with the Littleton Symphony for the past 28 years.
