      Get to know Jackson Harris

Jackson Harris is a multi-instrumentalist, specializing in woodwind instrumentation. Growing up in a musically inclined household, he found a love for music during his early childhood which turned into a life long passion. His first experience with a traditional woodwind instrument began with the clarinet in elementary school. Later, during his first year of high school, he taught himself saxophone in a less than 2 month timeframe, placing into the school's top jazz ensemble and wind symphony. He moved up to and maintained principal chair in both ensembles on saxophone for the following 3 years.

He also participated in his school's marching band, (clarinet, saxophone, drum major) pit orchestra, world percussion group, choir, and a self-founded/run barbershop quartet.

Jackson additionally has worked in game audio and sound for over a decade, primarily as a sound designer but also lending his woodwind expertise to game soundtracks. He has performed on numerous arrangement albums as well as the recently released video game, Yars Rising (2024) from Atari & WayForward.
