Performance Experience: Jake has been performing live music since 2014, Jake plays in several rock bands, several of which have released albums and gone on tour. Jake can be heard in various jazz ensembles around Baltimore as well.
Teaching Experience: Jake has been teaching professionally since 2017, started teaching at school of rock and inner sound, has been teaching at music and arts since 2019
Teaching Philosophy: My goal as a teacher is to make students enjoy music more. I try to figure out what each students individual goals are as musicians, and then create a lesson plan that will work best for those goals. We can work on any style of music, I teach rock, folk, country, hip hop, pop, metal, video game music, musicals, and more.
Get to know Jake Finck
Jake Finck has been playing guitar since 2004. Started playing in rock bands as a teenager and went to college for music. In college Jake studied jazz guitar performance with Anthony Pirog, and studied classical guitar with Troy King. Jake has been teaching professionally since 2016, and has been teaching at music and arts since 2018. Since graduating Jake has played in various rock/ jazz bands, recorded several records of original music, and toured in the United States and Canada.
