About Jane McIver

Jane McIver is a piano and violin teacher who creates engaging, student-centered lessons that blend strong musical foundations with creativity and enjoyment. She teaches beginner to advanced piano and beginner to intermediate violin, incorporating music reading, theory, improvisation, scales, chord techniques, songwriting, duet playing, and performance skills into lessons tailored to each student’s interests and goals. Jane takes time to understand each student’s background, learning style, and musical aspirations, creating a supportive environment where confidence and enthusiasm can flourish. Whether preparing for recitals, auditions, school programs, orchestra participation, or simply playing for enjoyment, students receive personalized guidance every step of the way. Jane holds a Bachelor of Arts in Piano, Organ, and Violin Performance and brings over 53 years of teaching experience, including certification in Kindermusik and the development of a successful Piano Camp program for beginning students.
