I am an intermediate piano player with many years of informal experience and a passion for working with young and adult beginners. In the past, I have mentored introductory piano, helping students build strong foundations in note reading, rhythm, and technique while enjoying the learning process (simultaneously building a relationship with music!) I focus on creating supportive, engaging lessons that encourage confidence, curiosity, and steady progress at the beginner level. - Create engaging, well-paced lessons that balance structure, encouragement, and fun - Provide clear practice guidance and progress updates to parents or guardians, using written notes and weekly touchbases - Prepare lesson plans aligned to studio expectations and beginner-level milestones (focused on using Method Books, and modern sheet music occasionally) - Break down musical concepts into clear, manageable steps tailored to individual learning style - Patience and Preparedness - being on time, showing up prepared for the students, and working towards a goal together with them.
