About Jinette Martinez Johnson

Jinette Martinez Johnson teaches violin, cello, piano, and voice students from beginner to advanced, specializing in adult beginners. Her flexible, goal-focused, and technique-focused lessons balance technique, musicianship, and enjoyment while adapting to each student's pace, interests, and goals. In lessons, students can explore classical, jazz, and pop while developing music theory, music reading, and songwriting. Jinette emphasizes individualized learning and personalized instruction and encourages students to become confident, thoughtful, and increasingly independent musicians. She supports preparation for recitals, auditions, and school music programs, as well as music-making for personal fulfillment. Jinette holds a bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the University of New Hampshire and has completed a teacher credentialing course through the Cal State TEACH program.
