About John Hays

John is an experienced musician and performer, skilled in many different genres from Golden Oldies to Contemporary Rock/Pop/and Folk. John can provide great instruction on both acoustic and electric guitar.

John graduated from Pepperdine University with a degree in Theatre Arts and has been working in musicals and musician/musicals such as The Buddy Holly Story, and Ring of Fire since 2013. In 2015 John was honored to become a part of the Broadway touring production of the musical Once, where he played Guitar/Ukulele and the Cajon. In 2017 John Co-Founded the Pop/Rock band Nicotine Dolls as the lead guitarist. With over 800K followers on Instagram and over 1 Million on Tik-Tok his band has been able to tour the country opening for acts like Marc Broussard and have headlined their own tours all across the US.

John is passionate about sharing his love for music and guitar.  Since moving to NYC in 2017 John has worked teaching and introducing children to music through many different programs including Mozart for Munchkins, Curated Care, and NYC Kids Club, as well as teaching privately.
