About John Sabine

John Sabine, a career church musician and music educator is so happy to be teaching at Music & Arts Center.  Prior to moving to Hagerstown, MD in March 2023 to serve as the Minister of Music at St. John’s Episcopal Church he taught piano, voice, and organ in Atlanta, GA from 1997-2023.  John has also served as an organist/choirmaster in churches of various denominations in Georgia, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.  John’ s approach to teaching is relaxed, positive, and focused. John also performs regularly as an organist, tenor soloist, conductor, and choral singer.  He earned the Master of Sacred Music Degree in Organ Performance from Emory University.  He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Church Music with an Organ Principal and a Voice Minor from Westminster Choir College, Princeton, NJ.
