Teaching Philosophy: The language of drumming is primal and mathematical. I lead students to grasp the guidelines then help shape their sound into a unique voice. I believe that even the most basic exercises have very practical applications in the world of music – you’re probably already a better drummer than you think you are!

Josh Mighell is a studio and live drummer in Nashville and Los Angeles. With 20 years of drumming experience and knowledge passed down by some of the top players in the world, Josh has a unique teaching structure designed to make you and all-around better player. Learn not only the basics and what is taught from the leading drum books, but also what real life bands and producers are looking for in a drummer and band leader. After attending Berklee College of Music, Josh has gone on to record music for movie soundtracks, commercials, and bands who are currently on the radio. Josh has worked around the world and also works as a consultant to members of bands such as: Pink, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Hamilton The Musical, Diana Ross, Smokey Robinson, Marilyn Manson, Smash Mouth, Ann Wilson, Zac Brown Band, Tesla, Foreginer, and many more.
