About Kara Zimmerman

Kara Zimmerman is a violin, viola, cello, piano, and flute teacher who works with beginner to advanced students in a welcoming and supportive environment. Her lessons combine technique, scales, repertoire, and musical exploration while adapting to each student’s interests, goals, and learning style. Kara teaches a wide variety of musical styles and incorporates music theory and history naturally into lessons to help students become well-rounded musicians. Whether preparing for auditions, school programs, personal enrichment, or therapeutic growth, students are encouraged to learn at their own pace while building confidence and creativity. Kara holds an A.S. in Music from SUNY OCC and has over 20 years of private and group teaching experience.
