Performance Experience: I've performed as a solo act in piano recitals. I've played in multiple live music teams as well as performing in a band that played in local venues across Texas.
Teaching Experience: I've taught private and group piano lessons to both children and adults for over 8 years.
Teaching Philosophy: I teach technical skills and a foundational understanding of music theory while maintaining a positive, encouraging atmosphere. Mistakes are a part of the learning process, and every success is worth celebrating. I challenge students to develop their strengths and fundamental skills while ensuring that they can enjoy learning to play piano.
Get to know Laura Irons
I've been playing piano for 15 years and teaching piano lessons for 8 years. I come from a family full of musicians and have been involved in music for most of my life.
I've performed live events in ensembles as well as solo in recitals, and have had some experience with studio recording.
Teaching piano is one of my greatest joys in life. I love encouraging developing musicians as they hone their skills and talents.
