Get to know Luna Borchert
Luna Borchert is a dedicated violinist and vocalist with a lifelong passion for music, theater, and the arts. Raised in a musical family, she was surrounded by the sounds of instruments played by her father, brother, and grandparents. Her deep appreciation for the expressive power of music led her to participate in a wide range of community ensembles. During her education, she performed in musicals such as The Wizard of Oz, Anastasia, Chicago, Peter and the Starcatcher, and Mamma Mia. She was an active member of both the Symphony Orchestra and the Chamber Choir, and held leadership roles as Concert Maestro at her graduation and Section leader in choir.
Beyond her school life, Luna expanded her musical experience by performing with the MCYC Treble Choir and the MC Symphony Orchestra. She was also selected for the prestigious Maryland State Choir, performing in venues such as the Baltimore Convention Center. As a member of the Tri-M Music Honor Society, Luna demonstrated her commitment to musical excellence and community engagement. She believes strongly that music is a universal language and a vital part of personal and creative development - an outlook she brings into every lesson as a music teacher.
