Get to know Mark Morgan
Mark Curtis Morgan is a professional trombonist with over twenty-five years of experience playing tenor and bass trombone in bands, orchestras and jazz ensembles. Currently he is the bass-trombonist with the Capital Wind Symphony and principal trombonist with the Rockville Brass Band. He was the trombone instructor at the Armed Forces School of Music and at Montgomery College where he also taught music theory and jazz history. As a teacher he is aware of what a student must learn to play and audition successfully. With his varied professional experience and knowledge of brass literature and technique, he can guide a young or developing player to realize his/her potential. He can help beginners develop solid fundamentals. He is an excellent teacher for all trombone players, including professionals. He also has teaching experience working with beginners through intermediate players of the trumpet, euphonium and tuba.
