Mary started piano in the 2nd grade and went to college to get her Music Education degree. She took several Masters courses at George Mason University and received her Orff Certification.
Performance Experience:
Mary has been performing since she was 7 yrs old. In college she had a full accompanying scholarship and has always held an accompanying job with a church. Mary loves to play for weddings and is honored when asked to play for Life Services.
Teaching Experience:
Mary has been teaching since she was 16 years old, taught all through college and continued teaching after college graduation. She also taught for 5 years in Fairfax County Public Schools. Mary taught preschool music and KinderMusic for several years.
Teaching Philosophy:
Mary loves teaching piano to all levels of students. She has seen throughout the years what piano and music has meant in her life and wants to share that joy with others. Mary enjoys watching her students progress and take pride in their hard work.

Mary learned how much she loved playing piano, she then went to college on a full ride accompanying scholarship and has been teaching ever since. She has been playing ever since the 2nd grade and taught her first students when she was 16 yrs old. She has done some Masters course work at GMU and is Orff certified. She also has taught preschool and KinderMusic.
