About Mike

I want to share my lifelong passion for music with you. Among my earliest memories is my older cousin dropping the needle on the Beatle's latest hit "Ticket to Ride" From that exciting moment forward I have taken my passion to the guitar, to the piano, and to the stage. My name is Mike Ferrigno. My goal is to inspire and support your desire to express yourself through music.  Perhaps you've seen me perform in my band "The Back Forty" here on Long Island? Maybe you know me as a substitute teacher in the Commack School District, or just around town? I'm a longtime Commack resident invested in the community and dedicated to your musical development. As a teacher, I understand that learning anything takes focus, dedication, and discipline. But, let's not forget that we are "playing" music, we'll have fun! Whether you are starting your musical journey, getting back into playing or looking to hone your skills, let me be your guide. I've been playing guitar since David Bowie released his hit "Rebel, Rebel." Adding piano has broadened and enhanced my musical experience.
