Michael Hoover is a clarinet and saxophone teacher who works with beginner to advanced students, helping them build strong technique and confidence in a supportive and enjoyable learning environment. His lessons balance technical development with engaging repertoire while exploring classical, jazz, and contemporary styles of music. Michael emphasizes learning proper fundamentals from the very beginning so students can develop lasting skills and a lifelong connection to their instrument. Whether preparing for recitals, auditions, school ensembles, or simply playing for enjoyment, students receive thoughtful guidance tailored to their goals. Michael holds a B.S. in Music Education from West Chester University, has over 50 years of teaching experience, and has served as Principal 2nd Clarinet with the Maryland Symphony Orchestra for 25 years.
