Teaching Experience: Michael has been teaching for years both privately and publicly, He has led middle school percussion programs, and taught group music classes at a psychiatric hospital. Additionally Michael owned his own private studio for years!
Teaching Philosophy: My teaching philosophy is simple – to share my passion for music while educating and having fun. I want to inspire students to enjoy music and appreciate it the way I do. I aim to put a smile on their face and get them excited to make progress each week.
Get to know Michael Malinowski
Michael Malinowski is a freelance drummer and pianist who recently moved to Virginia Beach from Los Angeles. He has performed with artists such as Blue Man Group, Sheila E., and Monobloco. He has had the privilege of performing at some of the biggest venues in LA, including the Hollywood Bowl, Ford Amphitheatre, and Microsoft Theater. Michael graduated from the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music, at California State University, Long Beach, with a degree in Percussion Performance. There, he studied classical, jazz, and world music. Currently, Michael is focused on performing live, touring, teaching, and recording in his studio.
