About Mike Niro

Mike is a 1991 graduate of Poland seminary High School. He began studying music at the age of 10 after joining the band in 5th grade. Mike continued his music studies throughout high school. After graduating, Mike attended YSU Dana School of Music. Mike joined the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra under the direction of legendary trombonist Buddy Morrow. during his tenure as Bass trombonist with the band, he performed all throughout the United States as well as over 15 countries. Through out his 30 year professional career, Mike has performed live with The Temptations, Frankie Vlalli, Hanson, Kenny Loggins, Chuck Mangione, Glass Harp, Bernadette peters, Tommy Tune and The Guy Lombardi Orchestra. Mike is currently the Low Brass instructor with the Boardman and Poland local schools as well as a teacher at Music and Arts in Canfield.
