Get to know Michael Panek
I've been teaching and performing professionally for over 35 years. I graduated from William Paterson University with a B.A. in music with an concentration in education and classical guitar studies. I have performed in many eniviroments including theater, national rock show venues, small club dates and recording studio sessions. My primary instruments are: guitar, electric bass, ukulele, and piano. As an instructor, I tailor lessons to accommodate each student's needs, whether they are a beginner or someone aspiring to reach an advanced level. I teach a variety of playing styles such as: classical, jazz, blues, country, and rock. Some of my main influences are: David Gilmour, Carlos Santana, Jerry Garcia, Chet Akins, and Andre Segovia. I enjoy listening to and playing a wide spectrum of music styles ranging from heavy metal to classical. Music has been an important and enjoyable part of my life. I hope to share the fulfilment music has brought me through the years with each of my students.
