Get to know Nick Lakatos
Nicholas Lakatos teaches beginner violin, piano, guitar, and bass; advanced drums, bells, xylophone, and marimba; and beginner to advanced trumpet and flute. His structured, energetic lessons combine strong fundamentals with creativity, helping students progress toward their individual goals while developing their own musical style. Nicholas teaches all genres with a classical foundation and encourages students to explore songwriting and original music. He emphasizes regular performance opportunities to build confidence and help students become comfortable playing for others. Nicholas holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Percussion from Youngstown State University and Kent State University.
